Academic Advising

Labor Studies Academic Advising
The Student Affairs Officer of the Labor Studies Department believes in a holistic approach to student advising; one that encompasses academic, career, and personal counseling for not only interested and current labor studies students, but also for students having taken or currently taking Labor Studies courses. The flexibility and interdisciplinary nature of the program allow the Student Affairs Officer to provide one-on-one counseling that focuses on tailoring the academic resources of the program to fit the students’ needs and interests.
Students are encouraged to contact the Student Affairs Officer to declare the program and design a coherent program of coursework.
Please note that advising appointments are available only to current UCLA students. If you’re a prospective student, please send your questions to laborstudies@irle.ucla.edu. Also, current UCLA students can submit their inquiries via e-mail.
